Travis Hunter and Leanna Lenee first connected in 2022, and their relationship quickly grew. In early 2024, Hunter proposed with a striking six-figure princess-cut ring, solidifying their plans to marry. The couple tied the knot on May 24, 2025, at The Barn at Faith Farms in Tennessee.
The wedding also featured a lavish surprise: Hunter gifted his new wife a Mercedes-Benz AMG G63 Brabus 800, underscoring the couple’s grand celebration. Despite a few moments of public scrutiny online, Hunter and Lenee have continued to share their lives openly, including welcoming their first child in August 2025.
Lenee has been open about her relationship with Hunter, having shared numerous stories with her social media followers. Last year, she posted an almost 10-minute clip on TikTok, detailing her dreamy proposal.
“I always told him that I wanted my engagement to be very private and intimate,” Lenee said. “It was super intimate, super natural. He proposed to me in our bedroom…on a random Sunday. And we have a video of it, actually. He recorded it, of course, but just for us. Like it wasn’t like a—what’s it called—like a stunt.”

Despite having a very public life, which comes as a part of being married to one of the most popular athletes currently, Lenee understands where to draw the line. She knows that some parts of their life together are meant to be seen and experienced only by them.
Travis Hunter Defended His Wife Against Critics
In December 2024, Travis Hunter won the revered Heisman Trophy. The ceremony was attended by his Colorado coach Deion Sanders, Leanna Lenee, and more. When Hunter was announced as the winner, Coach Prime almost jumped out of his seat in celebration.
He stood up and applauded Hunter for his accomplishment. At the same time, Lenee was still in her seat, clapping for Hunter. Fans noticed that Coach Prime had to ask Lenee to stand up. That opened up the floodgates for name-calling and criticism against her.
“I know what I got. I know my girl. My girl’s been with me for five years,” Hunter said while defending Lenee. “Y’all are just now starting to talk about me and just now starting to be with me. Come on, man.”
Despite Travis Hunter’s plea, people have not stopped talking negatively about her. But it seems like with time, they’ve learned it’s best to ignore the trolls.
