Because of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) rules, players have the option to opt out of the game, though it is expected most players will decide to put themselves in the video game.

Hunter is one of the top players in the country and is a two-way star for Colorado. He is expected to be one of the top players in the game due to his versatility and overall talent. Players will have the opportunity to play with Hunter for at least one year, though those playing as Colorado in Dynasty mode may have their work cut out for them while trying to convince him to stay for his senior year.

Hunter is among a slew of other top players who have opted into the game, which is scheduled to be released during the summer. Other players to opt in so far include Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe, Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers, and Michigan running back Donovan Edwards, among many others. A full trailer is expected to drop in May.
