The winter transfer portal opened Wednesday, releasing chaos throughout the college football landscape yet again. On day one, several cornerbacks hit the portal, including Penn State’s Jon Mitchell, Purdue’s Markevious Brown and Luke Williams, and USC’s Maliki Crawford. On day two, we saw even more chaos with Texas Tech’s Jordan Sanford, Kansas State’s Noah King, Virginia Tech’s Jayden, and Jordan McDonald hitting the portal.
Here’s everyone who hit the transfer portal on Friday.

College Football Transfer Portal Day Three: Key Cornerback Departures
Izaiah Guy — Georgia State
Guy committed to Georgia State as a three-star prospect. In his first two years, he registered 25 tackles and a sack, two pass breakups, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and a touchdown off a blocked punt in 2023. In 2024, Guy appeared 2024, finishing the season with 30 tackles. He recovered a fumble in the Panthers’ win over Vanderbilt.
Braylon Johnson — Virginia Tech
The three-star prospect played 12 games in 2023 and four games in 2024. He registered a combined 11 tackles.
Jaheim Jenkins — Eastern Michigan
The former two-star recruit recorded six tackles in two seasons with the Eagles.
JC Hart — Auburn
Hart played in only four games in each 2023 and 2024, recording five tackles last year.
Caleb Presley — Washington
The former four-star recruit did not record any stats in two years with the Huskies. He was Washington’s No. 1 overall prospect for the Class of 2023.
Ricardo Underwood — Old Dominion
The former three-star prospect was redshirted in 2024.
Day Three Winners and Losers
WINNER: Georgia Tech
Former four-star prospect Jon Mitchell, considered by most to be the top cornerback in the spring transfer portal, announced his commitment to the Yellow Jackets Friday. Adding a strong piece in the spring will help them make another leap forward on an impressive 2024.
LOSER: Virginia Tech
Johnson’s departure marks the third loss in the secondary for Brent Pry’s team. The Hokies will have some work in the portal to replace the depth that Johnson and the McDonald twins provided.
