The first three rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft were full of surprises and excitement. While quarterbacks received most of the attention, another key position—wide receiver—still had plenty of talent left on Day 3.
In the first round, there was a lot of movement with wide receivers being picked early. The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Travis Hunter, Tetairoa McMillan, and Emeka Egbuka. By the end of Day 2, 13 wide receivers had been drafted, including Matthew Golden by the Green Bay Packers and Luther Burden III by the Chicago Bears.

Top Wide Receivers Who Remain Undrafted Heading into Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft
Tez Johnson, Oregon
Tez Johnson’s exciting play at Oregon made him one of the top prospects to watch on Day 3 of the NFL Draft. In his senior season last year, Johnson racked up 898 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns on 83 catches.
He proved he could perform under pressure too. In the Big Ten Championship, Johnson exploded for 142 yards and two touchdowns against Penn State, earning the game’s MVP honors.
The Ducks’ top receiver, known for his lightning-quick speed and sharp route-running, poses a significant threat to defenders, particularly when positioned in the slot. Moreover, the impression he created at the NFL combine in front of scouts with a 4.51-second 40-yard dash boosted his chances of becoming one of the biggest steals of the draft.
Now, he’ll join the loaded Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR corps, as they selected him in Round 7.
Jalen Royals, Utah State
The journey of Jalen Royals from junior college to becoming Utah State’s go-to receiver is truly remarkable. In 2023, Royals made a significant impact by setting a school record with 1,080 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns. In 2024, he followed up with 834 yards and six touchdowns, despite battling a foot injury late in the season.
As Day 3 of the draft unfolds, several teams are likely to target the Boise State tormentor for his playmaking ability. Among the most intriguing possibilities are the Kansas City Chiefs, the 2025 Super Bowl runners-up, who are looking to bolster their wide receiver depth.
Other potential suitors include the Green Bay Packers, who need a reliable slot receiver, and the New York Jets, who are looking to add depth to their wideout rotation.
Elic Ayomanor, Stanford
Elic Ayomanor’s strength and steady play have made him a top name to watch on Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft. The Stanford wide receiver had a strong 2024 season, leading the team with 831 receiving yards, six touchdowns, and 63 catches.
