Colorado Buffaloes Top 10 Returning Players in 2025 Include Arden Walker, Jordan Seaton

The Colorado Buffaloes lost some key pieces to the NFL in quarterback Shedeur Sanders, Heisman winner Travis Hunter, and starting cornerback Shilo Sanders.

However, this team does have a lot of returning talent for 2025.

Top Returning Colorado Players for 2025

Along with the help of some new recruits and transfers, head coach Deion Sanders is going to have plenty to work with this Fall.

For now, here are the 10 best returning players for the Colorado Buffaloes this year:

    10. Keaten Wade (DE)

Wade will be entering his fourth season in Boulder and is sure to have a vital role on the defensive line.

He recorded a career-best four sacks and 15 solo tackles last year.

    9. Carter Stoutmire (S)

Stoutmire is one of the leaders on the backend of this Buffalo defense and will surely be that in 2025.

His vision and ability to cover a lot of ground allowed him to notch 42 total tackles and seven pass deflections last season.

    8. Isaiah Augustave (RB)

The Naples, Florida native is looking to have an outstanding junior season this year after performing well as a role player last season.

The 6’2″, 210-pound back recorded nearly 450 total yards and four touchdowns in a reserve role, but he will look to take another step this season.

    7. Arden Walker (DE)

Walker is another impactful piece on the defensive line for Sanders.

He recorded 4.5 sacks and 33 total tackles last season as he emerged as a stingy defender in the trenches.

    6. Colton Hood (CB)

Hood performed admirably in 2024 on the opposite side of Shilo Sanders.

His 24 tackles, two interceptions, and six pass deflections, along with his intangibles, proved that he could be a star moving forward.

    5. Jordan Seaton (OT)

Seaton is the anchor of the offensive line for Sanders and Co.

With a new quarterback expected to take over at the helm, Seaton’s 6’5″ frame will be a big piece of the puzzle out on the island.

    4. Drelon Miller (WR)

Fans who see Miller’s name on this list might go a little crazy, especially if you look at his 32-277-3 statline.

However, the loss of Travis Hunter at wide receiver means that every wide receiver is going to have to step up in a big way.

    That includes Miller.

    3. Omarion Miller (WR)

The other Miller is going to have to do the same thing in his third season in Boulder.

Despite catching just 10 passes for 216 yards last Fall, it will be time for him to become a trustworthy option in Sanders’ offense in 2025.

    2. Taje McCoy (DE)

McCoy could very well be the most talented edge-rusher on this team despite only recording four sacks in his second season playing for Sanders.

If the Oklahoma City native takes off like Colorado fans think he will, then the Buffaloes have a chance to have the best defense in the Big 12.

    1. DJ McKinney (CB)

Perhaps the best overall defender on this Colorado defense, McKinney is set for another strong college football season.

The former Oklahoma State Cowboy recorded an impressive 61 total tackles, three interceptions, and eight pass deflections in 2024.

Colorado fans should keep an eye on him.
