Bounce-Back Picks Primed for 2025 Impact

    5. Tacario Davis

He rounds out the list, bringing a Big Ten flavor via his transfer to Washington from Arizona. In 2024, Davis earned All-Pac-12 honors at Arizona, using his 6’4” frame to disrupt passing games.

His length and athleticism made him a prized portal acquisition for the Huskies, forming a formidable secondary with Ephesians Prysock. Breneman ranks Davis fifth, noting his standout performance last season and potential to elevate Washington’s defense.

    4. KC Concepcion

Concepcion’s freshman year at NC State in 2023 was electric, with 71 receptions, 839 yards, 10 touchdowns, and a rushing score, showcasing his versatility. But 2024 saw a sharp decline, with his numbers dropping due to inconsistent quarterback play and scheme changes.

Transferring to Texas A&M, he becomes the Aggies’ top veteran receiver, paired with quarterback Marcel Reed. As the primary target, he faces pressure to deliver, but his skill set suggests a return to freshman form.

    3. Harold Perkins

Harold Perkins, the sole SEC representative, is a defensive force ready to reclaim his spotlight. As a freshman at LSU in 2022, he recorded 72 tackles and 7.5 sacks, earning All-SEC honors.

However, 2024 was derailed by a torn ACL in Week 4, limiting him to 16 tackles across four games. LSU’s coaching staff underutilized him last season, but a shift to a hybrid star role in 2025 maximizes his versatility.

    2. Miller Moss

His tenure at USC showed moments of brilliance but concluded in frustration. In the 2023 Holiday Bowl, he threw six touchdown passes, setting a record and fueling hype for 2024. Yet, under Lincoln Riley, Moss posted 2,555 yards, 18 touchdowns, and nine interceptions, with a 4-5 record leading to his benching for Jayden Maiava.

Transferring to Louisville, Moss pairs with coach Jeff Brohm, who molded Tyler Shough into a second-round NFL pick. Louisville’s offense, featuring receivers Chris Bell and Caullin Lacy, offers Moss a chance to reset.

    1. Carson Beck

Beck’s 2024 season at Georgia was considered to be a rollercoaster. As a first-time starter in 2023, he threw for 3,941 yards, 24 touchdowns, and six interceptions, nearly guiding the Bulldogs to the CFP.

But, 2024 brought struggles, with nine interceptions across losses to Alabama, Texas, and Florida, plus a lackluster 186 yards against Ole Miss. An elbow injury ended his season early, prompting a transfer to Miami.
