North Carolina Tar Heels head coach Bill Belichick has not gotten off to a strong start to his college career. After such a stellar career in the NFL, there was a belief among fans and analysts that he would have immediate success at UNC. That has not been the case as the team has lost two of its first five games this year. This has led to speculation about UNC buying out Belichick’s contract.

Bill Belichick Says He Is Fully Committed to UNC
Despite heavy speculation that Bill Belichick could leave the Tar Heels, he released a statement this week reaffirming his commitment to the program. The university also indicated that Belichick has their full support.
Belichick and the Tar Heels have a bye this week, giving them for time to recover and prepare. They are back in action next week against California.
