Tom Brady Denies Role in Shedeur Sanders Evaluation

Tom Brady denies any involvement in Sanders’ NFL Draft evaluation. During a discussion on the “Impaulsive” podcast with Logan Paul and Mike Majlak, the former quarterback said, “I wasn’t a part of any evaluation process.”

Replying to Majlak’s question regarding Bayless’ accusations, Brady said, “Well, everyone’s got — that’s the problem with media, everyone can just say whatever the f*** they want and get away with it.” The New England Patriots legend continued, “It’s kind of unfortunate, because there actually used to be a lot of integrity in the media.”

Following two rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft, Bayless took to his social media account and claimed, “It is now pretty clear Tom Brady, who mentored Shedeur, told the Las Vegas Raiders NOT to take Shedeur. Duly noted.”

Brady has been a long-time mentor to Sanders. The 47-year-old is also the minority owner of the Raiders. However, the legendary QB has cleared any accusations made by the 73-year-old American sports columnist. Meanwhile, Brady took the opportunity to reveal what he actually told Sanders. He said that he “texted Shedeur” because he knows him “very well”.

Brady, the five-time Super Bowl MVP, said, “Dude, whatever happens, wherever you go, that is your first day. Day 2 matters more than the draft. I was [No.] 199.”

The former player had some words of wisdom for Sanders, the former Colorado player, and told him to “use it as a motivation; you are gonna get your chances, go take advantage of it. Use it as motivation.”

Brady has given the NFL his 23 years, and the now-turned sports broadcaster played a huge role as a mentor for Sanders during the NFL Draft. The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers star had inspiring words suggesting to Sanders that, “wherever you end up going, it is about your performance — what you do when you get there.”

Brady also suggested Sanders not focus on what others are saying, as “people are selling stories.” He asked the Browns QB to be a “leader.” Sanders, the Dallas, Texas native, spent four seasons at Colorado and ended his college football career as one of the most accomplished quarterbacks in the history of college football.
