The Tennessee Titans, who hold the number one overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, did not target a bridge QB like Russell Wilson or Aaron Rodgers, and after signing Tim Boyle as the backup in Nashville, it’s all but a foregone conclusion that the Titans will target a quarterback in the draft.
As for who that quarterback will be, all signs point towards the former Miami Hurricane Cam Ward, as the Titans just brought him in for a private workout.

Titans Host Cam Ward for Private Workout
While there are plenty of ways to see draft prospects live, like the senior bowl, NFL Combine, and Pro Days, if an NFL organization is serious about a prospect, they will likely bring them in for a private workout.
That’s exactly what the Titans did, flying Ward to Nashville to see him in person and have medical checks done on the young signal-caller.
Over the course of the offseason, there’s been much conversation about what the Titans may do with the first pick in the draft. Many believe that the Titans may pass on a quarterback and keep former second-round pick Will Levis heading into 2025 to fill other holes on their roster.
However, after the Titans were rather quiet during NFL free agency and now have brought in Cam Ward for a workout it seems to be clear that they view Ward as the best player for them to draft.
Almost everything Ward put on tape in 2024 suggests that he should be able to become a high-level NFL starter. He has an NFL arm, and he’s able to fit throws in tight windows and deliver on time with great accuracy.

His pocket presence, combined with his mobility, makes him able to extend plays and create out of structure.
So, while the Titans might be passing up on some very good players like Abdul Carter and Travis Hunter, I think Ward is the best pick Tennessee can make on draft night.
