Arch Manning might be the most popular figure in Austin, Texas, right now. The “Manning” last name represents football legacy and fame, something that Arch has had constantly while growing up. Still, the youngster has never flexed about his wealth in public.
During his press availability at the 2025 NFL Combine, Texas CB Jahdae Barron recounted an interesting story of Manning’s selflessness and shared a locker room history.

Arch Manning Leaves Good Impression on Longhorn Players
Heading into the 2025 season, Arch Manning will start for the team Quinn Ewers is leaving behind. The weight of expectations is already immense due to his Super Bowl-winning uncles, Peyton and Eli.
Last season, Texas made the College Football Semifinal and barely missed a national championship ticket following a tough loss to the eventual national champion Ohio State Buckeyes. This year, nothing less than a title game would satisfy Longhorn fans.
The 2025 NFL Combine has officially begun this week in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium. Texas CB Jahdae Barron utilized his press opportunity to share a story about the young quarterback.

“He’s the most humble kid I’ve ever been around. I never even told this story,” Barron said on Thursday.
“I think the second week he was there—you know, he was a freshman. Yeah, as a freshman, he’s, like, two lockers down for me. He asked to take my loop to the laundry thing. I told him, like, ‘Arch, you don’t have to do it.’ But he just wanted to do it.
Barron continued, “He wanted to show me that he wasn’t better than anybody, and that he was still a part of his team, and that he was a freshman. And I told him he didn’t have to do that, and I told him I appreciated that. [The] sky is the limit for that kid,” he added.
A couple of months back, Arch himself shared a similar incident in a sit-down interview that was shared via TikTok.

“As long as you just act like everyone else and live your life, it’s pretty easy. Obviously, it’s a little harder around campus, just getting recognized. Other than that, it’s been solid,” Manning said.
Steve Sarkisian is widely expected to announce Manning as the starter for the Texas Longhorns ahead of the 2025 season. Texas will begin the “Arch Era” with a season-opening rematch against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
