Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning notched yet another NIL deal, announcing it with a hilarious family cameo that featured some of his famous family members. But who was the sponsorship deal with? Let’s take a deep dive.

In his debut advertisement with Uber, Manning included his father, Cooper, and his grandfather, Archie. The latter was most known as a quarterback for the New Orleans Saints in the 1970s before having three sons, including Peyton and Eli—both of whom became Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks in the NFL.
The third son, Arch’s father Cooper, is an entrepreneur and television personality.
“Arch, do you Uber to class?” Cooper joked in the ad. “Because I notice you get a lot of parking tickets. You must be driving somewhere.”
The video was filmed in a Waymo car, a self-driving vehicle. The two companies, Waymo and Uber, have come together and are debuting their self-driving Uber rides in Austin, TX—home of the Texas Longhorns.
In the minute-long video, the star quarterback’s grandfather is noticeably perplexed at the car’s ability to drive itself.
“How does Waymo know we’re at a red light?” he hilariously questioned. “I thought you told it!” Cooper jokingly shot back.
TEXAS IS BACK: Arch Manning Narrates Longhorn Video That Ignites Offseason Hype
Manning, who has the highest NIL valuation in college football at $6.5 million, will be Texas’s starter in 2025. In limited action in 2024, he completed 67.8% of his passes for 939 yards and nine touchdowns versus two interceptions. He also added 108 yards and four touchdowns with his legs.
He’ll have high expectations for next season and beyond—but first, he’s sure to capitalize on the many marketing opportunities as one of the most recognizable stars in college football.
