Arch Manning's voice fuels the Texas Longhorns' latest hype video, igniting offseason excitement and setting the stage for a high-stakes season in Austin!

For Texas Longhorns fans, the wait is finally over. Arch Manning, the highly anticipated heir to the quarterback throne, is set to take over the offense.

After patiently sitting behind Quinn Ewers for two seasons, the nephew of NFL greats Peyton and Eli Manning is ready to write his own story in Austin. The buzz surrounding him has been growing for years, and now it’s time to see if he can live up to the expectations or not.

The Arch Manning Era Begins at Texas

As part of Texas football’s latest hype video, Manning provided the narration that he is built for Texas. His words resonated with fans eager to see him take the field as the Longhorns’ undisputed leader.

The X page called Arch Manning Highlights posted a video with the caption, “Arch Manning narrates a new Texas Football video.”

“Playing for Texas was always the goal. There’s something about this place. This city, the Forty Acres, we’ve got a lotta fight in us,” he says in the video. “And you can feel it everywhere and in everything we do.”

“Because at this place, the standard is the standard,” he adds. “We’ve got a [mess] around and find out mentality because this is Texas. And we were born with the Texas fight. Hook ’em’.”

Now, with Quinn Ewers headed to the NFL Draft, Manning is stepping into the spotlight, carrying the weight of expectations that come with his famous last name. It remains uncertain whether his time at Texas will last for one season or two. Nonetheless, there is no question that the fanbase is ready to see what he can achieve in a full season as the starting quarterback.

His first true test won’t be an easy one. Manning and the Longhorns will open their season against the reigning national champions, the Ohio State Buckeyes, on August 30.

Texas’ Championship Aspirations With Manning at the Helm

The Longhorns have made two consecutive appearances in the College Football Playoff semifinals, only to fall short of reaching the championship game. With a program desperate for its first national title since 2005, Manning is seen as the player who could finally push Texas over the hump.

The combination of his pedigree, talent, and development under head coach Steve Sarkisian has fueled the belief that he can deliver what Texas has long been searching for.

While some five-star quarterbacks transfer at the first sign of competition, he remained committed to Texas, absorbing everything from the sidelines and preparing for his moment. His brief appearances during the 2024 season, when Ewers was sidelined with an injury, provided glimpses of his ability, but now the full picture will be revealed.

The hype surrounding Manning is not just about his last name. He has been touted as a potential Heisman Trophy candidate, an honor that no Texas player has won in over 25 years.

Head coach Steve Sarkisian spoke at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis and expressed strong confidence in his young quarterback.

“We’re watching him in winter workouts and offseason stuff really becoming the leader of the team, like the quarterback has to be,” Sarkisian said.
