Could Tetairoa McMillan Be the First Receiver off the Board?

Could Tetairoa McMillan Go to Seattle at Pick No. 18?

At pick No. 18 in this NFL Draft sits the Seattle Seahawks.

In an offseason in which the Seahawks traded Pro Bowl wide receiver D.K. Metcalf and cut ties with franchise legend Tyler Lockett, they are a team that could be in need of another wide receiver. While they were able to sign Pro Bowl quarterback Sam Darnold to a major contract, along with former Super MVP Cooper Kupp and deep threat Marquez Valdes-Scantling, the team might not be done adding pieces.

If they were to select McMillan, this Seahawks offense might be even more dangerous than it was a season ago.

The All-American pass catcher was one of the best overall players in America last season.

    McMillan Was Special at Arizona

Standing at 6’4″ and weighing in at 220 pounds, McMillan is a big-time playmaker on the outside. He proved that each time he stepped foot on the field in Tucson.

Starting out as a freshman for the Wildcats, he recorded a whopping 702 yards and eight touchdowns on just 39 receptions, averaging 18.0 yards per reception in 2022.

The next season, he made a massive leap, catching 90 passes for 1,402 yards and 10 touchdowns. In 2024, he recorded 84 catches for 1,319 yards and eight touchdowns. Simply put, he is one of the playmakers in the draft and could very well be the next great NFL wide receiver.

If he were to join an already talented Seahawks wide receiver room, it might be lights out for the rest of the defensive backs in the NFC West. Seahawks general manager John Schneider has done a very impressive job of changing up his offense this season despite possibly earning flack from some of the Seattle fan base.
