Ben Shelton and girlfriend, Trinity Rodman, made their first public appearance this year. They have been dating for close to a year and have been enjoying the offseason together.
On Thursday, they were spotted watching Elina Svitolina’s game at the 2026 ASB Classic in Auckland. She defeated Katie Boulter to advance to the quarterfinals. During the live broadcast, Shelton and Rodman were spotted sitting near the court, having a discussion. At the time, Svitolina was serving for the match. Shelton was in a blue MLB cap while Rodman was in a cream top.
Shelton is there in Auckland to play the 2026 ASB Classic to begin the season. He revealed the reason why this tournament will be the perfect place for him to start before the upcoming Australian Open.
“For me it’s been great preparation, great matches, and a place that I feel comfortable,” Shelton said. “I think that to start the year it’s nice to be somewhere that you’re comfortable and feels like home. I enjoy playing there. And I’ve played well in the Australian Open after that tournament, and it’s one that I’d like to keep coming back to.”

Before coming here, Ben Shelton and Trinity Rodman challenged each other on a soccer field. The American tennis sensation went up against an Olympic gold-medalist and Washington Spirit star.
In the challenge, both players have to hit goals through a marked year attached to the corners, for which they’ll receive a point each. Moreover, if they can hit the photos of the hour hung by the corner of the goal post, they earn five points instead of one.
Surprisingly, Shelton did well and put up nine points. But he was humbled by Rodman’s soccer prowess, notching 13 points.
After the game, Rodman said she was impressed with Shelton’s performance.
Ben Shelton and Trinity Rodman have been dating since at least March, when the tennis star went Instagram official with their relationship. He uploaded a cozy selfie from the elevator and since then, the couple have appeared together in multiple events, supporting each other. Rodman attended his Wimbledon and US Open matches from the stands, while Shelton was also observed comforting her at the NWSL championship.
