After entertaining offers, the Tennessee Titans decided they would not trade the No. 1 Overall pick in the NFL Draft.
The Titans’ General Manager, Mike Borgonzi, stated on Tuesday that the organization has received many offers from teams looking to trade up and has considered them. However, they are not trading the pick.

Tennessee Titans Will Keep No. 1 Overall Pick Despite Trade Offers, GM Mike Borgonzi Confirms
While there have been speculations that the Titans might trade out of position to kick off the draft in Green Bay on April 24, Titans GM Mike Borgonzi said the team is staying put.
“As we got towards the end of the process, we decided that ultimately we’re going to stay,” Borgonzi said.
It is said that the New York Giants had a strong interest in trading up from the No. 3 pick. Last month, Titans GM met with Joe Schoen, Giants GM, at the Breakers Resort in Palm Beach during the annual meeting. However, the deal did not reach a fruitful conclusion.
So far, Titans have considered a meticulous approach to the draft process, which led them to this decision.
“It’s such a long process, and we wanted to go through the whole thing,” Borgonzi added.
“We did out due diligence [and] went through thee process to listen to those offers. We have come to a consensus, the entire organization is to stay at that pick.”
Titan to Select Cam Ward: Spoiler or Prediction
While the Titans’ GM stated that they have no intentions of trading up in the team’s pre-draft press conference on Tuesday, it is widely believed that Miami quarterback Cam Ward is the winner’s pick.
After months of speculation, the consensus around the league is that the #Titans will stay at No. 1 and pick, rather than trade, sources say. No surprise. Decision made.

A large contingent from the franchise attended Miami’s pro day to check out Cam. In 2022 and 2023, the Titans drafted quarterbacks Malik Willis and Will Levis, respectively.
Cam had a marvelous year with the Hurricanes last campaign after transferring from Washington State. Thanks to his leadership, the team went 10-3. Cam completed 67.2% of his passes and led the ACC with 39 touchdown passes.

It makes sense that Cam’s confidence is sky-high during the pre-draft process. He is indeed one of the best quarterbacks in this class, if not the best.
Titans GM Borgonzi will be entering his first NFL draft as a general manager. While everyone points out that Cam Ward would be the selection of the Tennessee Titans, as of now, neither the Titans’ GM nor Ward has shared anything concrete.
