Tennessee Volunteers quarterback Joey Aguilar has led his team to a 4-1 start. They are observing a bye week after defeating the Mississippi State Bulldogs 41-34 in overtime in the last game. He chose to be with his girlfriend, Rylan Moffitt, as the couple went for a dreamy getaway over the weekend.
Moffitt included snaps from their weekend in her latest Instagram post. The duo posed in casual outfits during an outdoor trip. They also posted a picture from a golf course.

Rylan Moffitt and Joey Aguilar have reportedly been together for over two years. Their earliest post dates back to December 2023. Aguilar’s girlfriend played college basketball at his former college, Appalachian State, before transferring to UNC Greensboro. During her time with Appalachian State, she started 31 of 32 games.

Joey Aguilar’s Tennessee faced East Tennessee State in Week 2. Rylan Moffitt’s brother, Trevor, plays as a linebacker on that team.
Ahead of the matchup, Rylan uploaded a video, teasing her brother, saying:
“HIII BROTHER @trevormoffitt SORRY WE HAVE TO MEET THIS WAY.”
Under Aguilar, the Vols completely dominated the game, winning it 72-17. The quarterback completed 23 of 31 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns.
Joey Aguilar, who transferred from UCLA to the Vols following Nico Iamaleava’s bitter exit, didn’t take long to show his talent. In his very first game, he threw three touchdowns. while going 16-of-28 for 248 passing yards. After his debut with the Vols, the quarterback said:
“You know the trust that the (Tennessee) coaches have in me, the trust the players have in me, and then vice-versa, the trust I have in them. At the end of the day, this is football. I’ve been playing my whole life. Just go out there and let it loose.”
Despite the offense doing well, Aguilar believes there’s room for improvement.
“When you go back and watch film and see there’s still so much more that we can do better,” Aguilar added. “We’ve been explosive, but we can be more explosive than what we have been.”

Through five games, Aguilar has completed 102 of 157 passes for 1,459 yards, with 13 touchdowns against five interceptions.
