TCU’s Jack Bech is preparing for his entry into the National Football League, fueled by the core inspiration of his late brother, Tiger.

Former LSU and TCU WR Jack Bech Honors His Brother’s Legacy Ahead of NFL Career
The NFL Draft, taking place in Green Bay, Wisconsin, this Thursday (April 24), will have its share of deeply moving stories as players take that next step. For TCU wide receiver Jack Bech, it will be another chapter in his journey, which he’s dedicated to his late brother, Tiger.
“Whatever team gets me, it’s going to be a two-for-one special. Not only do you get Jack Bech, you get Tiger Bech, too,” he said in an ESPN interview. “I have a superpower now. I have another presence about me that just can’t lose.”

Tiger Bech tragically lost his life in the deadly terror attack where a pickup truck ran down people on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana, on New Year’s Eve. Bech was a standout kick returner at Princeton University, making the All-Ivy League Team in that role. During his three-year career with the Tigers, he was also a solid wide receiver, pulling in 53 passes for 825 yards and three touchdowns. He had just begun work as a stockbroker in New York City and was in New Orleans for the holidays.
Jack Bech’s response to the loss of his brother and best friend has been to use his memory as fuel for his career. Beginning at Louisiana State University, not too far from where he grew up in Lafayette, the 6-foot-2 receiver was an all-American as a freshman.
But Bech was stuck in a heavy rotation of strong receivers, including eventual first-round draft pick Malik Nabers. After the firing of coach Ed Ogberon, Jack Bech decided to transfer to TCU. In his first season, he pulled 12 catches in eight games for 146 yards.
His senior season saw Bech skyrocket, scoring nine touchdowns on 62 catches for 1,034 yards for the Horned Frogs and capped off with a touchdown catch in the Senior Bowl.

Bech is projected to be a second-round pick and will carry his brother Tiger with him on stage, thanks to a tattoo on his chest reading “7 To Heaven”, which was his brother’s number along with Tiger’s birth and death dates in Roman numerals. “They’re only on the left side of my body because he was my other half,” Jack said.
