The 33-year-old actress and singer stepped into full beach bride mode with a white bikini and a tulle veil, hiding her face and standing barefoot against the surf with a delicate veil catching the breeze. In a following shot, she also shared a shot with a sheer crochet cover-up over the bikini as she posed for a mirror selfie. The veil details came through as she chose a pearl halter mini dress with an open back, pairing it with the same veil embroidered “bride to be.”

Gomez also chose a one-shoulder dress with floral embellishments and bell sleeves, finishing it with an updo and bold makeup as she posed against a scenic backdrop. In April 2009, Gomez had tweeted, “Discussing love with two 9 year olds. That’s what love supposed to be. Truly amazing, I’m never leaving Canada.” Swift replied at the time, “Real love still happens sometimes. It’s not just something we make up when we’re nine. I have to believe that. You do too.”
Fans started resharing the exchange after the engagement, pairing screenshots of the old tweets with side-by-side images of both singers celebrating their milestones. One caption read, “16 years later,” which Gomez reshared.
