Syracuse vs Clemson Game Summary
While Clemson entered the game as the favorite, Syracuse got off to a quick start, scoring a few minutes into the game with a touchdown by Justus Ross-Simmons. Then, while the Orange were unable to score another TD in the first quarter, they added a field goal to take a 10-0 lead. However, Clemson cut the lead to 10-7 with a TD of its own with three minutes remaining in the quarter.
Things continued to go poorly for Syracuse at the start of the second quarter. Syracuse scored four seconds in to bring the score to 17-7. Syracuse scored again a few minutes later to bring the score to 24-7. Clemson was able to score with a minute left to bring the score to 24-14 entering halftime. That lead held as the Orange entered halftime with a 10-point lead.
