The Cleveland Browns created the first buzz or surprise of the 2025 NFL draft. It was pretty much expected that Cam Ward would head to Tennessee and there wasn’t any surprises when Ward’s name was called. However, the first twist of the name came as soon as Ward’s name left the board.

Browns held the number two pick and were expected to pick two-way phenom, Travis Hunter but they swapped picks with the Jacksonville Jaguars and traded down. Jaguars then selected Hunter with the overall number two pick.
