    Earlier this week, former New England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount took to social media to praise his son, LeGarrette Jr., after he received another D1 college football offer.

    Blount Jr. posted a message on X highlighting his acceptance of an offer from Bill Belichick and the North Carolina Tar Heels. His father, a Super Bowl champion with Belichick and the Patriots, replied and shared his thoughts.

    What Did LeGarrette Blount Say About His Son’s Offer?

    Blount Sr., a three-time Super Bowl champion with the Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles, played under Belichick for portions of his career. In 2016, he led the NFL with 18 rushing touchdowns.

    Blount Jr. expressed his gratitude for receiving an offer to play college football with Belichick and the Tar Heels.

    “Blessed to receive my 2nd D1 offer from North Carolina!! #AGTG @LG_Blount,” he said.

    Blount Sr. reposted the social media release and provided his own analysis of the situation.

    “LFG LB!!!!! A dawg if I ever seen one!!! Such a humble and respectful kid that does nothing but WORK!! I’m so proud of you and happy for you son! You deserve everything coming your way and more king! I love you so so much my guy!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!” he proudly wrote.

    North Carolina Tar Heels’ Future Outlook

    Blount Jr. is a dual-threat player who can play both wide receiver and cornerback. He is a member of the 2028 recruiting class and plays his high school football with the Hamilton Huskies in Chandler, Arizona.

    According to 247 Sports, Blount Jr. has also received an offer from the Marshall Thundering Herd.
