Steve Sarkisian’s Wife Loreal Gives Fans Sneak Peek Into Baby’s Upcoming Texas Themed Fits Ahead of Week 2

Earlier this year, Texas coach Steve Sarkisian and his wife, Loreal Sarkisian, welcomed their first child together into the world. Amays is Steve Sarkisian’s fourth child, as he already has two daughters and one son. His son Brady Sarkisian is a former three-star recruit who plays for him at the University of Texas.

It’s difficult for a member of the Sarkisian family not to be knee deep in football, given the Sarkisian’s occupation. It seems that the same will be the case for the most recent addition to the clan, Amays. On Thursday, Loreal Sarkisian shared a video showing a series of Texas Longhorns-branded onesies she expects her baby to wear.

Her pregnancy was a difficult affair, with her being bedridden at a hospital for much of the period to protect her and the baby. She was also rushed to the emergency when her delivery came.

The child was born a little over half a year after the couple filed for divorce in July 2024, signifying the reconciliation between Loreal and Steve Sarkisian.

Loreal Sarkisian feels like she was robbed of a better pregnancy

Speaking earlier this year, Loreal Sarkisian expressed her feelings that she was robbed of a more wholesome pregnancy due to the dangerous character associated with it. In a video published to her YouTube channel, the wife of the Texas coach said:

“I’VE GOT TO BE HONEST, I FELT LIKE I WAS ROBBED IN SO MANY WAYS, HAVING TO BE ON BED REST, BUT AT THE SAME TIME, IF IT WAS GOING TO PROTECT ME AND MY SON, THAT’S ABSOLUTELY WHAT I WAS GOING TO DO,” SAID LOREAL (3:40)

Steve Sarkisian thinks Arch Manning needs to win the mental battle next time around

The Texas Longhorns of Steve Sarkisian lost their opening game of the season to Ohio State 7-14. More importantly, fans were left disappointed with the performance of their highly anticipated new starter: Arch Manning.

Manning seemed to struggle throughout the encounter and seemingly gave up even when the game was still within reach. Speaking this Monday with the press, Sarkisian pointed out that this is something the quarterback needs to address for the rest of the season:

“I think one thing that happened a little bit to Arch is the game can mount on you, and you feel like, oh, man, we’re not scoring, or I missed the read, or I missed the throw. But in reality, the scoreboard still 0-0, and then the game can mount and you feel like you gotta make a play, but the scoreboard is 7-0, right?”

Manning will have several weeks to find his footing, as the next three encounters are against rather easy opponents. Week 2 will bring San Jose State University, Week 3 will bring UTEP, and Week 4 will bring Sam Houston. It’s not until Week 5, when Texas faces another ranked opponent in the No. 13 Florida Gators.
