South Carolina may enter the season as a make-or-break year for head coach Shane Beamer in 2024. Their non-conference schedule sets up nicely for them to start the year off with some victories as Old Dominion, Akron, and Wofford all come to Williams-Brice.
However, that’s about where the fun ends for SC in 2024.
Included in their 2024 schedule are road trips to Kentucky and Alabama, as well as traveling to new-conference foe Oklahoma. The Gamecocks have never played Oklahoma in their history and are making new ground by traveling to Norman during the Sooners’ first season in the SEC.
It’s not all bad, as SEC does face off against Vanderbilt on the road, but that’s about it.
Their home games aren’t much easier as LSU, Ole Miss, Missouri, and Texas A&M all come to Columbia. LSU will be breaking in a new quarterback but Jaxson Dart and Brady Cook likely return for the latter two.

Mike Elko leads the Aggies into town for SC’s first matchup with Texas A&M since a 24-24 tie the teams played to in 1991.
For the first time since 1991, the SEC will not feature divisions in the conference. The top two teams will square off at the end of the year in the SEC Championship Game to culminate the season. With Oklahoma and Texas in the conference this season, the 2024 campaign truly means more.
