We’re not ones for unnecessarily piling on a team going through a rough spell. Almost always, there’s a positive to unearth somewhere for a team that points to a potential turnaround or a glimmer of a competitive advantage in a game.
However, it really is a rough spell that Southern Miss is going through right now.
When they can get the offense moving the football, the defense just hasn’t been able to stop anyone. When the defense holds an opposition offense in check, the offense can’t hammer it home. Pick an offensive or defensive metric and the Golden Eagles are right down the wrong end of it.
