Jeremiah Smith burst onto the scene with the Ohio State Buckeyes last season as a freshman, proving to be a receiver that NFL teams are already salivating over. Is he good enough to be a 100 overall in EA Sports College Football 26, set to release this summer? One analyst gives the case for the game’s first 100 overall player.

Does Jeremiah Smith Deserve to Be a 100 Overall in College Football 26?
Arriving in Columbus, Ohio, as a five-star recruit, Buckeyes WR Jeremiah Smith had lofty expectations as a newcomer last season. Somehow, the receiver surpassed them, surprising many in the process.
Smith set freshman program records with 76 receptions for 1,315 yards and 15 touchdowns, which prompted On3 analyst J.D. PicKell to wonder if he deserves a perfect rating in EA Sports College Football 26.

“Should Jeremiah Smith be a 100 overall when CFB 26 drops?” PicKell wrote on Thursday on X.
“Should peanut butter go with jelly ?” An Ohio State fan jokingly replied.
“Nah, no one is perfect. Let’s not start this trend lol,” another commenter said.
“After seeing what he did to my Vols, 100%,” Someone said in support, referencing Smith’s 103-yard, two-touchdown performance in the first round of the College Football Playoff.
The Columbus Dispatch reported last July that Smith was rated as an 84 overall before he’d even played a down with the Buckeyes. No matter his grade this time, Smith enters this season as the best wideout in the sport as he and head coach Ryan Day prepare to try to defend his program’s College Football Playoff national title.
Michigan cornerback Will Johnson, drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round of last weekend’s 2025 NFL Draft, was one of three players with a 96 rating in last year’s edition. LSU OT Will Campbell and Oklahoma State RB Ollie Gordon were the other two tied for the highest rating in the video game.

Eight players were tagged with a 95 rating. That group included Tennessee EDGE James Pearce Jr., safeties Caleb Downs (Ohio State) and Malaki Starks (Georgia), two-way Colorado star Travis Hunter, Michigan DT Mason Graham, Ohio State RB Quinshon Judkins, and Georgia OL Tate Ratledge.
Receivers Luther Burden (Missouri) and Tetairoa McMillan (Arizona) were the highest-rated sole receivers at 94 overall. McMillan was selected No. 8 overall by the Carolina Panthers, while Burden went in the second round to the Chicago Bears.
EA Sports College Football 26 is set to be released on July 10. Those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition can play up to three days early, starting on July 7.
