Shilo Sanders’ Impressive Training Camp Performance vs Tennessee Leaves Fans Debating: “Still Last on the Depth Chart”, “He’ll Make the Team”

Shilo Sanders is back, and fans are divided once again. Buccaneers’ joint practice with the Tennessee Titans saw Sanders intervene in a one-on-one rep by breaking up a pass. After the clip surfaced on popular videographer GUCCE’s X handle, it did not take long before the internet took sides.

In the clip, Sanders goes toe-to-toe with his receiver, followed by a perfect timing swipe to dislodge the ball. It was a clean rep by the undrafted rookie, and for some fans, it was all they needed to start the debate on his future with Tampa Bay.

“But still last on the depth chart, but ok,” one fan exclaimed.

“Why does it irritate folks for the Sanders fans to support them unreal,” another added.

“What does that have to do with him lockin jit up?” one fan argued.

“Still going to make the team, bozo,” another replied.

“Guess you missed the report yesterday that said it would be hard for him to make the 53-man roster,” another argued.

“Don’t sleep on Shilo,” another exclaimed.

”Stop playing with Shilo,” another added.

Sanders is a name that has been a head-turner the entire offseason, and with Shedeur and Coach Prime already dominating the headlines, the reps of Shilo seem to be monitored a little more than most. Hype or criticism, fans seem to be listening in, and the debate about his roster chances is gaining momentum.

What’s Next for Shilo Sanders at Tampa Bay?

As a free agent, Sanders joined the Buccaneers following his last year at Colorado. He is attempting to play with a team that includes All-Pro safety Antoine Winfield Jr. and 2024 third-round selection Tykee Smith.

Although Sanders has been repping predominantly on the third-string unit throughout the camp, according to the Bucs head coach, Todd Bowles, he has a chance of making the 53-man roster as long as he continues to learn the scheme and get things done when it matters.

Bowles also commented on Sanders’ football IQ and communication skills, and added that he had to demonstrate steady execution in a team environment, especially with more repetitions during preseason.

Not that the playbook is closed, but the Tampa Bay depth chart is competitive. Should Sanders be able to string together more callbacks of the Tennessee pass breakup, it seems he could be in a prime position to make the final roster or at least be a prime practice squad member.
