Former Michigan Wolverines coach Sherrone Moore may be experiencing one of the darkest periods of his personal and professional life after being fired on Wednesday, December 10. The Wolverines announced that they had dismissed Moore after finding evidence of an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.
This was confirmed by the Wolverines’ director of athletics, Warde Manuel, in the team’s official statement. With this, Moore will no longer spearhead the team come the 2026 season.
His contract, along with this case, is being reviewed with the chance of his $13,897,916 buyout being voided as he was fired midway.
In the wake of Moore’s dismissal, many fans wondered whether the coach was married. Moore has been married to Kelli Moore since 2015. They have three children, all daughters, named Shiloh, Solei and Sadie. According to People, Sherrone Moore married Kelli Moore during his days as the tight end coach for the Central Michigan Chippewas a decade ago.
They have been together for 10 years.
Kelli used to serve as a goalkeeper for Centre College in Kentucky. She earned a bachelor’s degree in financial economics and mathematics and completed her Master’s at Central Michigan University, according to People.
She has been frequently seen at Michigan games and celebrated with Moore following the Wolverines’ national championship triumph in 2024.
