WATCH: $6.5 Million NIL-Valued Shedeur Sanders Get Surrounded by Fans Amidst Giants Rumors

Former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders gets a warm reception during a high school visit in New Orleans

Deion Sanders’ son, Shedeur Sanders, is gearing up for his journey in the NFL. After two seasons with the Colorado Buffaloes, the quarterback is projected as a top-three pick in this year’s draft alongside the likes of two-way star Travis Hunter and Hurricanes QB Cam Ward.

According to On3, Shedeur has an NIL value of $6.5 million. He has also built a huge fan following, just like his two-time Super Bowl-winning dad.

Shedeur Sanders Gets Swarmed by Fans During a High School Visit

In this year’s draft, Sanders has been putting in the work as the projected No.1 quarterback off the board. However, he was also present in New Orleans for the Super Bowl week while attending the NFL Honors with his father.

During his New Orleans trip, the Colorado quarterback decided to visit his fans at St. Augustine High School. In a clip shared on social media, we see Sanders being swarmed by students during his visit to the school. He was greeted with loud cheers and applause from fans who started taking videos of the quarterback. You can check out the video down below.

Before arriving in Boulder, Sanders played two seasons for Jackson State. He led them to back-to-back SWAC Championships with Coach Prime as the head coach. Then, the Sanders family arrived in Boulder ahead of the 2023 season.

During his two-season stint with the Buffs, Shedeur Sanders led them to a 4-8 campaign (2023 season) and a 9-4 record (2024 season). He tallied a total of 7,364 yards and 64 TDs passing in those two years.

The quarterback was also honored as the 2024 Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year and the 2024 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, establishing a legacy for himself with the program.

Louis Reddick Is Excited To Witness Sanders and Cam Ward in Action During the Scouting Combine

Sanders is one of the four Buffs players invited to this year’s NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. This will allow him to showcase his talent to the NFL teams and scouts and make a case for himself as the No. 1 pick.

However, there are situations when players refuse to participate in the Combine. Former NFL executive Louis Reddick is hopeful of seeing Colorado quarterback Cam Ward and Louisville quarterback Tyler Shough in action at Lucas Oil Stadium later this month.

“Want to see QB’s Shedeur Sanders, Tyler Shough, and Cam Ward all actually THROW at the scouting combine,” Reddick wrote in a post on X. “They will all be in the same group, all throwing to receivers they aren’t familiar with…which allows the cream to rise to the top. Great QB’s get on the same page fastest with unfamiliar receivers. This needs to happen.”

The Tennessee Titans have the No.1 pick in this year’s draft. They do have a quarterback need on their team. However, the question remains as to who the Titans will deem fit to be part of their offensive scheme and potentially become the franchise quarterback.
