‘I Don’t Eat Fast Food’ — Shedeur Sanders Reveals Strict Diet Plan

Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders follows a strict regimen to maintain the athletic build needed for a quarterback heading to the NFL.

Colorado Buffaloes QB Shedeur Sanders is being regarded as one of the top two quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL Draft pool. This recognition did not just appear out of thin air, rather it was because of his winning production this past season, which can be partly credited to his athletic build.

Shedeur Sanders on His Strict Diet Plan

Athletes have to follow a strict regimen and training to maintain their physique, much of which boils down to their diet as well. In light of this, Sanders narrated his diet from childhood to now in a vlog he posted on Feb. 25.

“Our diet out of high school?” Sanders said. “I always ate green, organic — you know my mum is organic — she grew us up organic, and they split. … Then I was mostly with my dad, and he just let us eat whatever. That’s when I got a little chunky.

“… But diet-wise, I ate a lot of like salads and clean food. I eat the same thing now. I don’t eat fast food and stuff like that. I’m not a big fast food guy — it’s only certain fast food I eat, Macs. … But other than that, I like almond milk. I don’t drink other milk besides that. I cook, I’m a good overall guy.”

Sanders has been invited to the NFL Combine, and while it has been reported that the quarterback won’t be taking part in the official on-field activities, he will be meeting with teams.

College Sports Network’s latest mock draft by Owain Jones projects that the Big Apple will select Sanders as the No. 3 overall player.

    Jones’ analysis of Sanders reads:

“Shedeur Sanders is an impressive, game-manager-like quarterback with an NFL-ready skill set. While his arm strength is average at best, the Colorado passer has the accuracy, vision, and athleticism to be a starter as a rookie.”

Sanders threw for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns on a 74.0% completion rate. He also saw his team reach a 9-4 record after it had been hovering around losing campaigns.

The New York Giants have been searching for a solution to their quarterback needs for the past few seasons and have been cycling through different QBs.
