Deion Sanders’ son, Shedeur Sanders, is confident about his NFL Draft stock and believes he can transform an NFL franchise. The Colorado quarterback is at the Lucas Oil Stadium to attend the 2025 NFL Combine. Although he isn’t participating in any of the drills, Sanders has been focusing on meeting different teams and participating in the interviews.
While speaking to reporters on Friday, he mentioned that he has transformed two programs while at college, the Jackson State Tigers and the Colorado Buffaloes, and intends to carry this legacy to the NFL.

Shedeur Sanders Brags About His Achievements at College
The 23-year-old quarterback played a significant role in turning Colorado into a Big 12 powerhouse. He wrapped up the 2024 season with a 9-4 record and punched a postseason Bowl game ticket for the first time since 2020. Speaking to the reporters on Friday, he reiterated his success under his father, Coach Prime.
“We went from Jackson State to Colorado and changed two programs back to back. You don’t think I could come to an NFL franchise and change a program again? It’s history, it’s always going to repeat itself.”

“I’ve been through six different OCS, you know, so I’m able to adjust to any offense in every scheme and make it work. We went from Jackson State to Colorado and changed two programs back to back. So you don’t think I could come to the NFL franchise and change the program again? It’s history. We’ve done it again. It’s always gonna repeat itself,” Sanders said.
The Colorado QB then discussed what he believes to be his best trait: leadership.

“I say being a leader, that’s my best trade overall, because everything’s mental. So, if I play my game from the neck up, I have to be able to adjust to my players, to have them have a related ability for them to get to know me, for us, to make everything smooth.
“So I came, I came from HBCU, then I went to Power Five, those two types of different players, and it’s very diverse, and getting to know people, talk to people, and making everything genuine.”
Sanders continued, “So the path and everything I had, even with dad being a coach, is still a challenge. It’s still been everything because he’s my dad, so you can never want to come off a certain way to people.
“So that’s why, when I’m here interacting with people, I love interacting with people, because they could truly get to know me and not just know clicks or anything like that.”
