Shedeur Sanders enters the 2025 NFL Draft as one of the most hyped quarterback prospects, bringing great expectations and the confidence to silence critics.

Shedeur Sanders Responds to Critics Ahead of NFL Draft
Sanders is in Indianapolis for the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine events. During his media chaos, Sanders has been bombarded with questions. The young quarterback has been criticized for his playing style and the impact of his father’s involvement in his career.
As the son of Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, he spent his entire career in the spotlight, but he welcomes it rather than avoids it. At the NFL Combine, Sanders turned down criticism, pointing out that his father faced similar criticism.
“You think I’m worried about what critics say? Do you know who my dad is? They hated on him too,” Sanders said, making it clear that outside noise doesn’t affect his approach.
Shedeur Sanders is a Top QB in this draft, a difference maker and a LEADER.

His performance strengthens his confidence. Sanders helped convert Jackson State’s recovering program into a powerhouse, leading the Tigers to consecutive SWAC championships.
Sanders said meeting with NFL teams is easy because he is simply himself, which you either like or dislike.
The Colorado QB then targeted those who think he isn’t a top quarterback in the draft. Sanders said:
“When people say I’m not one of the top QBs or the top QB, what are y’all going based on? I did it year after year after year. It has to be some kind of external hate that you have for the last name because I’ve proven myself on the field.”

The quarterback has also faced criticism for his father’s prominent involvement in his profession. Sanders responded to such criticisms by saying, “I didn’t know your parents wanted the best for you, and being involved was a problem.”

This statement highlights his belief that familial support should be regarded as a strength, not a weakness.
Sanders is leaving for the NFL, where his father won’t be part of any potential coaching staff at the next tier. Initial reports were that Coach Prime could fill one of the league’s open head coaching posts. But Coach Prime will return to coach Colorado.
