The 2025 NFL Draft is upon us, and so is your need to be prepared for all of tomorrow’s stars. Dive into our spotlight on Shedeur Sanders, featuring his scouting report, strengths and weaknesses, his recent draft projection, and where all the experts predict he could land.

Shedeur Sanders’ NFL Draft Scouting Report
Perhaps the most polarizing prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft class, Shedeur Sanders comes in as our QB2. There’s no disputing Sanders’ production or his pedigree. The debate comes within his projection.
Sanders makes his money with accuracy, confidence — a product of his processing and pre-snap ID skills — and composure, and his arm is more than good enough. But he’s not a high-level athlete or creator and his arm isn’t quite elite.
Sanders also has a tendency to drift in the pocket and play light on his feet, which can be harmful at times. A potential pro comparison for Sanders is Brock Purdy — the 2022 seventh-rounder who grew into a Pro Bowl passer with the San Francisco 49ers.
Sanders is undersized and unequipped with elite talent, but with his accuracy, ID acuity, and gamer mentality, he can be a very good NFL starter in a system that offers support.
Shedeur Sanders’ NFL Draft Projection
In CSN’s 7-Round 2025 NFL Mock Draft from April 12, Sanders landed at Pick No. 6 of Round 1. James Fragoza has this to say:
Geno Smith is a better QB than he is given credit for, but he will be 35 midseason. Shedeur Sanders can be the heir apparent under center while bringing the most the Raiders have received since their move to Las Vegas.
Sanders is more than just Prime Time’s son — he’s arguably the most accurate and anticipatory passer in the 2025 NFL Draft.
In other mock drafts, Sanders’ name has been placed as high as No. 2 overall or as low as No. 46 overall in Round 2.
