Shedeur Sanders may have fallen down the draft board, but that didn’t stop him from celebrating his selection by the Cleveland Browns.

Shedeur Sanders’ Draft After Party Goes Insane, $1 Million Gift and Celebrities Galore
There aren’t too many NFL draft prospects that have ever had people talking quite like Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders. The son of legend Deion Sanders was an early contender for being a top five pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. In the end he slid to round five and the Browns but that hasn’t phased him and he still got to celebrate the moment.

Sanders and his brand 2Legendary had a draft after party, which was as big as you would expect. Plenty of celebrities came out to show their support and he was even gifted $1 million by a guest.
Despite his slide down the board, Shedeur remained in high spirits. He was live on Twitch with his brother Shilo and friends as they waited to see where he would be selected. There was also the huge fiasco with a prank call from Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich’s son — he maturely accepted the apology and moved on.
The moment when Shedeur was drafted, you could see the excitement of everyone involved and how the slide didn’t affect him.

Sanders wasn’t the only QB drafted by the Browns; Dillon Gabriel from the Oregon Ducks was actually taken earlier in the draft.
Cleveland now has a big QB room of Joe Flacco, DeShaun Watson, Kenny Pickett, Gabriel and Sanders. This offseason will see a battle to decide who starts behind center in 2025.
It was a brilliant 2024 season that saw Sanders be projected as a top pick in the draft. He threw for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. Those performances led the Colorado Buffaloes to their first winning season since 2016, and Sanders led the FBS across multiple categories.
Taking a team from one win to a top-25 team is incredible. He raised the team’s level, and now he has his opportunity at the next level. There is no doubt about his belief in himself; the Browns are a tough organization to gauge.
Cleveland won just three games in the 2024 season. In a tough AFC North, they are playing catch-up with the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers making the playoffs, along with the Cincinnati Bengals, who have been regular postseason contenders.

We may not see too much of Shedeur in his rookie season, but there is no doubt about his belief in himself to become a top quarterback in the NFL. He more than deserved the chance to party hard after fulfilling his dream. Now, he just has to take it to the next level.
