Shedeur Sanders Could Be Traded From Cleveland To Make Room For $230,000,000 QB’s Return, Claims Analyst

Shedeur Sanders’ journey at the Cleveland Browns might be reaching its end as the ex-Colorado star has yet to get any on-field time, even as the backup quarterback behind Dillon Gabriel.

What’s even more concerning for fans is that Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski told the media that, despite being the backup quarterback, Shedeur Sanders is still not getting any reps with the first-team offence.

While Shedeur Sanders has some critics who predict him to be a bust, most fans want to see him in action instead of Dillon Gabriel and want him to get opportunities to show off his skills on the field.

Talking about Shedeur Sanders‘ potential future with the franchise, Browns insider Tony Grossi discussed during his latest assessment on “ESPN Cleveland“, where he brings up QB Deshawn Watson, whose latest contract is worth $230 million:

“They’re covered if that opportunity arose, because first, you got Zappe, who could serve as an emergency number two until DeShaun Watson is ready. I’ve heard that they anticipate having him cleared medically after the bye week, which means they would then have up to three weeks to activate him, or they could activate him sooner than that.”

“So, timing wise it can happen. I just question who’s inquiring about Shedeur Sanders. But if the Browns feel that they’re covered, and they have an offer, why not?”

Analyst Spills the Beans on Why the Ravens Pivoted From Shedeur Sanders

In September, a report by Adam Schefter revealed that the Baltimore Ravens planned to pick Shedeur as the 141st overall pick in the fifth round but the ex Colorado star’s words that reached the franchise about the fact that he does not want to be at a place where he would have to compete and back up Lamar Jackson, and instead wanted a place where he could play.

“When the Ravens got that message, they pivoted, went a different direction with the 141st overall selection. And three picks later, the Cleveland Browns selected Shedeur Sanders, who will be in Baltimore today, where he could have been spending his NFL career if he were willing to back up Lamar Jackson.” Schefter reported.

Shedeur Sanders was predicted to go in the top 10 picks during the 2025 NFL draft, but ended up sliding till the 5th round and getting picked by the Browns as the 144th overall pick.
