Before the East-West Shrine Bowl, Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders and Miami Hurricanes QB Cam Ward asked a New York Giants fan who they would draft in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Creating the hypothetical scenario that Travis Hunter went first overall and Abdul Carter second, the star quarterbacks asked the individual which QB he would rather take if both were still available.
Who Did the Fan Choose: Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward?
When asked who he would rather his favorite team draft, the Giants fan chose the Hurricanes QB Ward over Sanders, as seen in the video reposted by the popular Buffaloes fan account @SkoBuffsGoBuffs on X.

As a result, one individual responded by quoting a funny line said by someone in the clip.
“‘You ain’t gone hurt nobody feelings man 😂😭,'” they stated.

At this point in the selection process, it appears as though Ward and Sanders will be the top two quarterbacks taken in the 2025 NFL Draft. This past year, Ward had 4,313 passing yards, 43 total touchdowns, and only seven interceptions for the Hurricanes. Meanwhile, Sanders had 4,134 passing yards, 41 total touchdowns, and 10 interceptions for the Buffaloes.
Who Will Be Selected Higher Between Ward And Sanders?
Ward and Sanders are top prospects who both have the ability to be Day 1 starters in the NFL. In College Football Network’s recent 2025 NFL Mock Draft, Ward was selected first overall by the Tennessee Titans, while Sanders was chosen sixth overall by the Pete Carroll-coached Las Vegas Raiders.
Regarding Ward, the mock draft stated, “The Tennessee Titans have holes all over their team, but quarterback is the biggest one. While it isn’t the best QB class, I think Cam Ward is a franchise guy. The Titans have an offensive-minded coach who is desperate for a QB. They don’t pass up on the opportunity to get the best one in the class,”

Meanwhile, the mock draft predicts that the Buffs’ QB might be heading to “Sin City.”
“While the Giants pass on Sanders, the Raiders don’t. After a season of Gardner Minshew, Aidan O’Connell, and Desmond Ridder, the Raiders don’t pass on QB, and they’re okay reaching to grab one.
“Sanders isn’t a top-10 talent,” the mock continued. “But he does have the tools to be a starter in the NFL. He becomes QB1 for the Raiders and has the perfect personality for Vegas.”
The 2025 NFL Draft will kick off from Green Bay, Wisconsin at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 25.
