A recent Instagram post from Shedeur Sanders’ agent surfaced. The man, whom many call “Boogie,” is unhappy after the Cleveland Browns revealed their jersey numbers for next season.
After wearing the Number 2 jersey for most of his career in Colorado, a number that is now retired for the Buffs, Shedeur was forced to settle for the “12” jersey number for his first season in the NFL. His iconic No. 2 shirt went to veteran Wide receiver DeAndre Carter.

Shedeur Sanders’ Agent Rages Over Jersey Numbers
After it was announced that Shedeur Sanders would not be granted his iconic No. 2 jersey from his time at Colorado, who is the closest thing Sanders has to an agent outside of his father as his Head Media officer, Boogie Knight called out the Cleveland Browns for their decision.

“There’s no way the Cleveland Browns should’ve given the #2 to anyone else, especially to a WR who hasn’t worn #2 before in his entire career.” Shedeur’s Media officer wrote.
DeAndre Carter, who signed with the Browns after his offseason stint in Chicago, has worn Nos. “1,” “3,” “11,” “14,” “16,” “19,” and “82” throughout his career but has never worn a “12” shirt until now.
Despite the setback, Boogie has claimed that Sanders will not let the setback affect him, going on to say that Shedeur will make the No. “12” legendary in Cleveland History.
“But we knew that was coming, so we ain’t flinching about it. Take it, smile, and then make it legendary,” Boogie continued in his post.
Despite that apparent setback, losing his iconic number, the former Colorado quarterback has backed himself to prove Boogie Knight’s claim of going down in Browns history right, as he made a bold promise to the children of John Marshall High School in Cleveland.
“I’m trying to bring Cleveland a Super Bowl,” Sanders boldly claimed. The Browns have never won a Super Bowl since the NFL and AFL merger in 1970, meaning that if Sanders somehow managed to make the starting spot his own and then make it to a Super Bowl, the No. ’12’ would undoubtedly go down in the history of the organization.
“But off the field, I want to bring more hope and positivity to the city, and connecting with young people is one of the best ways to do that,” the Quarterback also promised the students.
However, before he can do any of that, Sanders first has to make the 53-man roster ahead of the season opener. He competes with Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and Dillion Gabriel, who went ahead of him in the 2025 NFL Draft.
According to a former NFL wide receiver and Super Bowl winner, James Jones, Sanders must be flawless if he wants to make it to week one.
“This will be the greatest accomplishment this young fella has ever accomplished if he makes this football team. He’s never been in a situation like this. He’s walking into a situation he’s never been in,” Jones claimed
“It’s not the second string, it’s not the third, it’s the fourth-string quarterback. This will be the greatest accomplishment if he makes the team. And you know what, he will have to be flawless.”
