Shedeur Sanders’ Brother Shilo Sanders Hilariously Roasts Dillon Gabriel Amid Browns QB Competition

Shilo Sanders failed to make a professional career of the opportunity he was given as an undrafted free agent for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In a now-famous incident, in the final preseason game, Sanders punched tight end Zach Davidson and was ejected from the game. That seemed to mark the end of his fledgling NFL career.

Now, he appears to be enjoying his post-football life, remaining connected to the sport while continuing to appear at events and leveraging his strengths as a streamer and influencer. This week, he was seen alongside streamer PlaqueboyMax in an event.

PlaqueboyMax had a jab at Cleveland Browns quarterback Dillon Gabriel, jokingly telling Shilo Sanders that he is the same height as the signal-caller. Shilo’s brother, Shedeur Sanders, is currently backing up Gabriel at Cleveland, and the joke could be taken like a jab at the fact that a small quarterback is beating the former Colorado signal-caller.

Shedeur Sanders is also struggling with his football career. While he was drafted, unlike his older brother, he fell all the way to the fifth round despite being initially considered a potential top-five pick. He was considered QB3 for the Browns at the start of the season, and even with the departure of Joe Flacco, he didn’t get an opportunity at the starting job.

Why was Shilo Sanders cut from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?

The Buccaneers never gave a full explanation as to why Shilo Sanders was cut from the team, but it seems that the decision was more down to the punching incident with Zach Davidson. Here’s what coach Todd Bowles said of the incident shortly after it.

“You can’t throw punches in this league. I mean, that’s inexcusable,” Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles said following the game. “They’re gonna get you every time. Gotta grow from that.”

Deion Sanders has also opened up about his son’s situation, but while he admits that his son’s football journey could be at an end, he isn’t that worried about his future.

“We’re praying that he gets another opportunity to go with a team, but if he doesn’t, the plans have already been put forward to what he’s going to do next,” Deion Sanders said. “So, Shilo is a man of many talents. I don’t know if you guys know. He’s a man of many talents, and he’s gonna be straight.”

Shilo Sanders has been a streamer for a while now, so a career as an influencer, especially considering his famous last name, is not that far-fetched. He’s also modeled at the Paris Fashion Week in recent years, so there’s another avenue he could explore.
