    Shavon Revel Mock Draft Projections

Revel has been considered one of the top cornerback prospects since last summer when the ECU product was continually being mocked in the first round due to his elite athletic traits and ascending production. However, a season-ending ACL tear just three games into the year stumped the growing momentum.

It saw Revel drop out of the first-round mock draft conversation entirely as the season progressed, but rankings and analysts are starting to come back around to the potential upside of the Pirates’ defensive back.

Combining prototypical size and length with aggressive physicality, tremendous ball skills, and twitchy speed, the 6’3”, 193-pound Pirate is every bit of the physical specimen that NFL teams fall in love with. Prospects built the way Revel is rarely escaping the first round of the NFL Draft, and he has the tape to match.

Revel is able to utilize his length to pack a powerful punch in the press while also having fluid body control, smooth hip movement, and the necessary speed to cover deep. When he is beaten, he has the speed and nuance to recover quickly, as well as the size and flexibility to adjust in the air.

The combination of traits, mentality, and potential is why Revel is currently ranked No. 36 on the CSN Top 300 2025 NFL Draft Big Board and, without the injury concerns and lack of testing numbers, could have challenged for a higher position.

In CSN’s most recent three-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft, the ECU prospect was drafted No. 29 overall to the Washington Commanders. Meanwhile, in CSN’s seven-round mock draft special, Revel landed with the Atlanta Falcons with the No. 15 pick.

If fully healthy, Revel is a first-round pick, which is why the medicals are so important to his potential landing spot in the 2025 NFL Draft.

    Shavon Revel’s Athletic Testing

Revel’s unfortunate ACL tear has prevented him from testing in the predraft process. The former three-star recruit suffered the injury in practice after just three games.

The injury was extremely unfortunate, as Revel opted to stay at ECU, turned down big NIL money and huge moves to more prominent college programs, and was being built up as a potential top-15 selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.

However, there are some recorded times from Revel from his college days. The former JUCO standout was working for Amazon when he made the trip from Kernersville, North Carolina, to Greenville, having just finished a 10-hour shift.

ESPN reports that Revel was operating on just one hour of sleep when he participated in the open day on June 6, 2021, and put up monster numbers.

Revel was recorded running a 4.4 40-yard dash, jumping 39 inches in the vertical jump, and 11 feet in the broad jump. That jump puts him in the 82nd percentile. Meanwhile, the broad jump is in the 93rd percentile among cornerbacks testing at the NFL Combine since 1999.

Those numbers are from almost four years ago, but Revel is every bit of the explosive athlete that those numbers suggest.
