Tiger Bech Tribute Takes Center Stage at 2025 Senior Bowl

Tiger Bech, 27, tragically lost his life in the New Year’s Day terror attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. The attack involved a truck being driven into a crowd, injuring nearly 14 people.

According to a CNN report, the suspect, 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar of Texas, was killed by police at the scene. The FBI later classified the incident as a terrorist act.

Bech played football at Princeton from 2016 to 2018, recording 53 catches for 825 yards and three touchdowns. He was well known for his skills as a return specialist and was a two-time All-Ivy League second-team selection. During his college career, he helped Princeton win two Ivy League titles.

At the time of his passing, Bech was working as a stockbroker in New York and had traveled to New Orleans on vacation with his family.

His younger brother, Jack Bech, had a standout season at TCU in 2024, recording 62 receptions for 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns. He began his college career at LSU before transferring to TCU in 2023, finishing with 133 catches, 1,869 yards, and 13 touchdowns.

To honor Tiger, all 2025 Senior Bowl players will wear a helmet sticker featuring a tiger-striped No. 7, his lucky jersey number. Jack Bech will also wear No. 7 in his brother’s memory during the game.

The Senior Bowl, established in 1950, is one of the premier showcase events for senior college players. The 2025 game is set for Feb. 1 at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Alabama.

This year’s lineup includes top talents such as quarterbacks Jaxson Dart, Dillon Gabriel, Jalen Milroe, Will Howard, and Riley Leonard, as well as standout running backs Ollie Gordon and Donovan Edwards.
