Gardner, the Jets cornerback, shared a story about his days at the University of Cincinnati.

“THE WHITE BOYZ WAS THE MOST G**EST PEOPLE ON THE TEAM IN COLLEGE,” Garder said. “WHITE BOY WEDNESDAY AND S**T IN COLLEGE. IT’S A BOY NAMED RYAN ROYER. I STILL REMEMBER THIS S**T…”

He went on to say that Royer had just gotten out of practice, and Royer put his clothes in a loop and was walking around naked and casually hanging out without any clothes on and “put the loop from his clothes on his d**k!”

Oliver Pope, host of the “Hotsauce Podcast,” responded with his own quote from the video.

“Not a wild story at all. Seems like a common locker room thing,” Pope said.

This tweet and other responses highlight the cultural implications and different viewpoints on Gardner’s comments.

“New York jets @nyjets get your boy, in fact, fine that fool,” one fan said while tagging the New York Jets.

“Overstand what the good brother is saying! cultural cues that tell you their history ain’t no mystery,” another fan said.

X account Good To Go Joe laid out a detailed story his freshman year of high school about an extensive ritual involving Seniors who “would get ya and do some g** s*** like oil check or t** b** you.”

“We’ve all had these kind of stories in the locker room. I would never bring these to light in a public forum, especially dropping ole boy’s name. He probably has a job and family now so I don’t see why he would say this out loud,” the account @JoeHollins923 said.
