‘Something I’m Going to Show My Kids’ — Sam Leavitt Honored By EA Sports College Football 26 Cover

Sam Leavitt Reacts to EA Cover

Leavitt was recently asked by the Arizona State media about being on the cover of the beloved game.

This was really cool to hear from Leavitt, who is coming off of a major season for the Sun Devils. The reigning Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year helped his team win the conference and make it all the way to the College Football Playoff.

It is safe to say that the Michigan State transfer made the right decision to move to Tempe before last season.

Can Sam Leavitt and Co. Replicate Their 2024 Success?

Leavitt completed nearly 62% of his passes for 2,885 yards and 24 touchdowns for the Sun Devils. He had plenty of help leading his team to a strong season as senior running back Cam Skattebo turned in an All-American campaign.

But now, it will be up to Leavitt to carry the team heading into the 2025 season.

A year ago, head coach Kenny Dillingham’s team secured some key wins. They secured top-20 wins over BYU and Iowa State, but their season ended with a close loss to the Texas Longhorns in overtime.

Simply put, the Sun Devils came up clutch down the stretch, beating the two teams right behind them in the standings and going undefeated at home, which needs to be commended.

Dillingham and Co. will face the likes of Colorado, Iowa State, Baylor, Utah, and Co. on their 2025 schedule. If they can find a way to handle their home games with Leavitt taking care of the football at a better rate, the sky might be the limit for the Sun Devils in 2025.
