Saints Projected To Nab ‘Acrobatic Catch’ Machine WR In the 2026 NFL Mock Draft

The New Orleans Saints could use some more talented skill players on offense, especially after veteran quarterback Derek Carr’s recent retirement.

That is why this team could be interested in bringing in an SEC wide receiver during the 2026 NFL Draft.

Saints Predicted to Land Wide Receiver Eric Singleton Jr.

Even though this year’s college football season is months away from beginning, mock drafts are flying off the board.

In the most recent PFSN mock draft, the Saints are projected to land Auburn wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr.

The Georgia Tech transfer is one of the best big-play threats in the country, but especially in the SEC.

Over each of the last two seasons for the Yellow Jackets, Singleton has averaged at least 13.5 yards per reception.

He is coming off a season where he set career-highs in receptions (56) and receiving yards (754) while adding 131 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

The Georgia native is an extremely dynamic player, even though he is 5’11” and weighs 190 pounds.

The Saints already have a smaller-framed star receiver in Chris Olave, so why not pair him with another talented player such as Singleton?

What Would the Saints’ Offense Look Like with Eric Singleton Jr.?

Again, adding him to an offense with another talented wide receiver, such as Olave, could be an excellent move for young head coach Kellen Moore.

Of course, with Carr’s retirement, rookie quarterback Tyler Shough could lead this team into the future.

With star players like five-time Pro Bowl running back Alvin Kamara and a multi-time 1,000-yard receiver in Olave out wide, the Saints have some options to help their young signal-caller feel more comfortable at the NFL level.

Now, the addition of Singleton to a wide receiver core that includes the likes of Olave, deep threat Rashid Shaheed, and veteran pass catcher Brandin Cooks could be one of the more formidable groups in the league.

Of course, it all depends on how Moore’s offense does in his first year at the helm down in the Bayou.

But if you are an Auburn fan, you should keep your eyes on Singleton as he looks primed for a big year down in the SEC.

Perhaps he can make an impact great enough to make the Tigers’ big players in the SEC this season.
