Ryan Williams has been one of the key contributors to the Alabama Crimson Tide’s success this season. The wide receiver has been consistent and has improved Alabama’s passing attack.
The Crimson Tide is set to play the Indiana Hoosiers on January 1 for the College Football Playoff quarterfinal. There’s no denying that Alabama would need its wide receiver to be at the top of his game once again in the Rose Bowl.
However, in the lead-up to the game, rumors started to float around that Williams was entering the transfer portal that opens January 2. If true, that would send the Crimson Tide program and its fanbase into a meltdown.
Fortunately for them, Williams has no intention of entering the portal and taking his talent elsewhere. When asked if he’ll be back with Alabama in 2026, he stated that he’s fully committed to the program.
“I’m Alabama through and through. I have no intentions of being anywhere else,” Williams said.
If that assurance wasn’t enough, Williams was asked if he had given any thought to entering the transfer portal. The wide receiver shut down all rumors with a simple, three-word answer.
“Nah,” Williams said.

With that, the Alabama fanbase can have a sigh of relief as one of their top talents is going to stay with them for the next season as well. Williams has had a good run this season so far, and he has the stats to back it up.
He has averaged 14.8 yards per catch, and he has 43 receptions for 636 yards and four touchdowns in 2025. His 306 receiving yards against AP Top 25 opponents prove that he is built for the big stage.
Kalen DeBoer Believes Ryan Williams Will Soon Deliver a Big Performance.
While talking to the media on Tuesday, head coach Kalen DeBoer was all praise for the wide receiver. He praised Williams’ positive attitude and consistency when it comes to working hard on his craft during practice.
Even though Williams hasn’t delivered to his full potential, DeBoer can sense that a big performance from the WR is just around the corner.
“He’s going to have a game like he’s had at different times where he goes off, and I’m just waiting for that moment because when it is, it’s going to be awesome. And we’re all going to be super happy for him. And I know that it’s coming sooner than later,” he SAID.
DeBoer has no doubt about Williams when it comes to his talent and potential. All he’s waiting for now is for him to deliver a performance to show the same to the rest of the world as well.
