Yes, Ryan Williams is playing against the Oklahoma Sooners on Friday. The Alabama Crimson Tide had a forgettable first quarter against Oklahoma tonight at Norman. Despite the poor start, Ty Simpson and company managed to come back from the brink in the second quarter and tied the game 17-17 going into halftime.
Someone who was almost absent from the first half of the game was wide receiver Ryan Williams. Even as the Crimson Tide recovered from a poor first quarter, the star wide receiver remained a non-factor in the second quarter, so much so that he has recorded no receptions in the game so far.
One fan went as far as to say that they could not remember when Ryan Williams had contributed anything to Alabama.
“I genuinely don’t recall the last time I saw Kadyn Proctor or Ryan Williams do something good,” the fan wrote.

Ty Simpson And The Defense Bring Alabama Back From The Brink
With seven minutes left on the clock for the second quarter, the Crimson Tide trailed Oklahoma 17-0, and it seemed like the game could be over even before it truly began. On a fourth down and two opportunity with 6:52 left on the clock, Ty Simpson managed to connect with wide receiver Lotzeir Brooks, who escaped Oklahoma’s defense to score Alabama’s first touchdown of the game.
A subsequent block by Alabama’s special teams put them in a prime position for a touchdown following a poor Oklahoma drive. Nonetheless, they were unable to cash in on the opportunity and only managed to score a field goal.
However, the best was yet to come, as Zabien Brown intercepted a pass attempt by John Mateer and returned it in a 50-yard pick-six, which tied the game 17-17.
Ty Simpson has thrown for 103 yards, with one touchdown pass and a completion percentage of 56.25%. John Mateer has 186 yards, with one touchdown and an interception for the Oklahoma Sooners. His completion percentage is 66.6%.
