Fans Respond to Viral Picture of Johnny Manziel and Mike Evans

In Weaver’s post, former Aggies Manziel and Evans are seen taking in the scenery on the court.

England’s response, “The disrespect for Ryan Swope,” likely meant in jest to Weaver, led to a back-and-forth.

“Relax Ryan is my guy im sorry i was distracted,” Weaver said.

One fan told Morgan that her post was “Nonsense.”

Morgan replied, “Stewie, you have tweeted about me and this tweet twice, but nothing about A&M beating No. 1 Auburn. I appreciate the attention but priorities.”

The post referred to the 22nd-ranked Aggies’ victory over the No. 1-ranked Tigers in men’s basketball, in which the Tigers were dominated from a physical perspective. Texas A&M has never beaten a top-ranked team — it also ended the Tigers’ six-game winning streak. Both Manziel and Evans were in the crowd at the game, and Weaver’s original tweet included a picture of them together.

Manziel and Evans Shared a Special Relationship at Texas A&M

Manziel talked to Club Shay Shay’s Shannon Sharpe about Evans:

“Mike Evans, that’s somebody that, man, what a brother to me. It makes me emotional even thinking about it. We got to come in at the same time and redshirt. And that redshirt year, we were tearing their a** up.”

Evans was a dominant wideout at Texas A&M who broke Swope’s school records with a 2013 season that included 1,394 receiving yards on 69 receptions.

Evans was selected by and has been with the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers since 2014 and has had an All-Pro career there, including winning Super Bowl LV over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Swope had a standout college career with the Aggies before Evans, posting a school-record 72 receptions in 2010, then had 89 catches for 1,207 yards and 11 TDs in 2011. In his senior year in 2012, he set the Texas A&M record for career receptions at 252.
