As usual, the Alabama Crimson Tide is set to have one of the most talented teams in the country in 2025.
But their wide receiver group, led by star Ryan Williams, might be the best unit of any in the land.

Ryan Grubb’s Thoughts on His Wide Receivers
New offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb recently spoke to the Alabama media about his wide receiver room.
Here is what he had to say:
What OC Ryan Grubb said about #Alabama receiving corps led by Germie Bernard & Ryan Williams
“Man, that is a talented room, and we’re excited.”

As Grubb said, the Tide are excited about the pass-catchers that they have.
This wide receiver core, led by Ryan Williams and Germie Bernard, should give plenty of defenses problems next fall when the season kicks off. They could be the true difference between this team making the College Football Playoff and not.
Especially with Williams last season, the production and intangibles are there for this team to take advantage of defenses through the air.
Alabama Has a Talented Core
Starting with Williams, at just 17 years of age, he became an All-American for head coach Kalen DeBoer.
The Alabama native caught 48 passes for 865 yards and eight touchdowns for the Tide while also posting a yards-per-catch mark of 18.0. A true downfield threat, Williams has a bright future both in Tuscaloosa and in the National Football League.
His teammate, Germie Bernard, caught 50 passes for 794 yards and two touchdowns a season ago. While the touchdowns weren’t necessarily there, the overall production was.
These two pass-catchers could be the best pair in the country by the start of next season.
Behind them on the depth chart are Jaylen Mbakwe, Cole Adams, Rico Scott, and Bubba Hampton. Mbakwe switched from defensive back to wide receiver this offseason, while Adams caught just six passes for 94 yards a season ago. Additionally, Scott caught five passes for 60 yards and a touchdown in 2024, while Hampton recorded just one reception for six yards.

While the group is talented, as Grubb alluded to, there is plenty of inexperience behind Williams and Bernard. They will both have to step up in a big way for DeBoer and Co. this year.
