He caught 58 passes for 1,002 yards and nine touchdowns in just nine games. His 17.3 yards per reception average ranked among the best in the nation, and his ability to stretch the field was on full display.
Doubs’ rapport with Strong was among the most dangerous quarterback-receiver duos in the Mountain West. Strong’s ability to make accurate deep throws played to Doubs’ strength as a vertical threat, and Doubs consistently beat defenders with his speed, precise route-running, and ball skills.
Some of Doubs’ most memorable performances came during this season. He had multiple games with over 100 receiving yards, including a career-high 219 yards and a touchdown on just seven catches against UNLV. Doubs returned for his senior year in 2021 with expectations at an all-time high. And believe it or not, he did not disappoint. Doubs continued to be one of Nevada’s most reliable offensive playmakers, and in his final collegiate season, hauled in 80 receptions for 1,109 yards and 11 touchdowns.
This solidified his place as one of the top wide receivers in the country.
Throughout the 2021 season, Doubs demonstrated a more polished and complete game. His ability to run a diverse route tree made him difficult to defend, and he consistently showed an ability to gain separation from defenders. He also improved his physicality, becoming more effective in contested-catch situations and as a blocker in the running game.
Doubs finished his college career with 225 receptions, 3,322 receiving yards, and 26 touchdowns. He ranks among the all-time leaders in receiving at Nevada and was instrumental in the success of the Wolf Pack during his tenure.
His big-play ability, combined with his work ethic and consistency, made him a standout player and an NFL prospect. Doubs’ legacy at Nevada is defined not just by his impressive statistics but by his ability to elevate his game when it mattered most.
