$13,800,000,000 Worth Robert Kraft Sends Clear Message On UNC HC Bill Belichick Getting Statue Next To Tom Brady Outside Patriots’ Arena

North Carolina Tar Heels head coach Bill Belichick is not off to a good start to his college coaching career. His Tar Heels lost 48-14 to TCU in Week 1 of the 2025 college football season. After such a stellar career in the NFL, he did not live up to expectations in his first game in college.

However, a poor debut performance at UNC does not take away from Belichick’s legacy as the head coach of the New England Patriots. Alongside legendary quarterback Tom Brady, Belichick and the Patriots won six Super Bowls. He is now viewed as one of, if not the greatest, head coaches in the history of the NFL.

Neither Bill Belichick nor Tom Brady finished their careers with the Patriots. Brady went to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, winning another Super Bowl. Despite that, a statue of Brady was unveiled in front of the Patriots’ home stadium, Gillette Stadium, on Aug. 8, 2025. On Wednesday, Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who has a net worth of $13.8 billion, spoke about whether Belichick would get a statue once his coaching career is over.

“When that great 20-year era ended, it was always my intention to commission a statue for both Tommy and Bill when their respective careers were over, playing and coaching,” Robert Kraft said. “When Bill’s coaching career ends, we look forward to sitting down with him and having a statue made to be right next to Tommy.”

Bill Belichick and the UNC Tar Heels Are Favored To Bounce Back in Week 2 of the Season

Bill Belichick and the North Carolina Tar Heels disappointed their fans in Week 1 of the season. While a loss to TCU might have been something fans would have been able to forgive, losing by such a large margin was not something that sat well with them. Despite that, they have a good opportunity to bounce back in Week 2.

The Tar Heels are scheduled to play Charlotte on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET. According to FanDuel, they are -520 favorites to come out on top. The spread is set at -13.5, meaning the Patriots are favored to win by nearly two TDs.
