During a press conference that also featured Gabriel, a video has been making the rounds on the internet in which he is mocked for his height.
Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal forgot he had his mic on when he said, “I’m taller than him,” and that was it. It went viral and became the talk of the town, as it appears to say it multiple times.

As per a report in the Daily Mail, they have confirmed the identity of the viral reporter, who is a 10-time Associated Press Media Editors award winner. The media house has also reached out to ask for his height.
As for Gabriel, he stands 5-11 tall as per his roster on the Browns website. Meanwhile, it will be a tough competition for him to snatch the starting quarterback position. The 24-year-old has started 63 games overall in six years while playing for Oklahoma, UCF, and Oregon.
At UCF, he started 25 of the 26 games in three seasons for the team. He was also the starter in all 24 games over the two seasons ahead of his move to the Ducks. The former Oregon player attended 14 games and started all of them in 2024.
On the other hand, Shedeur Sanders has also landed a QB job at an NFL team. Amid the increasing race, Gabriel is as competitive as the other QBs in the crowded room. Apart from him and Shedeur, the Browns already had Joe Flacco as a veteran backup. The Browns are set to handle a tough competition with five quarterbacks but only one starting job.
