Another DeJean Heading to a Big Ten School?
While Cooper DeJean made plenty of big plays at Iowa before becoming a star in the NFL, he might not be the last DeJean brother to have his moments in the Big Ten Conference.
According to On3, quarterback Jaxx DeJean was recently given an offer to play for the Michigan Wolverines.
The top-20 recruit would take the field in Ann Arbor in 2027 if he ends up signing the letter of intent.

Now, some other teams might still be interested in the younger DeJean, which is why time can only tell about his future. The only other teams that have been strong in their pursuit of the two-way player are Kansas State, Iowa, and UAB.
Of course, Iowa fans are hoping that he will follow in the footsteps of his older brother.
The Strong DeJean Connection to Iowa
As it was previously mentioned, the DeJean connection to the Iowa Hawkeyes is a big one.
Cooper DeJean was a cornerstone of the Hawkeyes’ roster before he helped the Philadelphia Eagles win the Super Bowl this year. A former All-American, DeJean was named the Big Ten Defensive Back and Special Teams Player of the Year in 2023.
He recorded 75 total tackles in 2022 and five interceptions (three went for touchdowns). In 2023, he recorded 21 punt returns for 241 yards and a touchdown.

Like his younger brother, Cooper DeJean was one of the most impactful players on either side during any game because he affected the game from multiple positions. The Hawkeyes are looking for that in another player, which could be Jaxx DeJean if he decides to enroll.
Despite playing quarterback in high school, it will be interesting to see what position he plays at the next level regardless of where he decides to suit up, whether at Michigan, Iowa, or any other school.
He could be an impactful football thrower, a backend defender, or a gadget player on offense who can take the ball to the house at any given point in the game.
